- American history--particularly the colonial era through the Civil War. I would love to talk about a day in the life of the average person--with first-person recountings and a glimpse at society, politics, and economics.
- Books--I especially love matching reluctant readers with books that might spark an enjoyment of reading. The library book group insists they love the books I choose and none of them offer titles.
- Knitting--Yarn, yarn, and more yarn.

Oh, I'd love to hear you talk about everyday life! One thing I recently learned was how often 19th century women died of burns ... when they were cooking because of all the stupid clothes they wore! I also recall that Mr. Lincoln bathed on his backporch when he lived in Springfield, which means he didn't bathe very often because it got cold on his back porch. I love this stuff. I'd be in the front row for your lecture.
