Feels Like The First Time

1) Look up from your screen. What's the first thing you see? a Christmas gift bag that needs to be put away

2) Looking back on 2020, what surprised you? I'm still surprised that there are pandemic deniers

3) Have you made any resolutions for 2021? I am working on a bucket list instead of resolutions

4) In Italy, it's said that if you wear red underwear on New Year's Eve, you'll have good luck all year around. Do you have a lucky charm?  not really

5) In Spain, some New Year's Eve revelers believe that, at the stroke of midnight, you should eat exactly 12 grapes, one at a time and one right after the other, to bring you luck for the next twelve months. Did you have anything special on your New Year's Eve menu? sadly, I did not--typically my bestie and I have Chinese food but I didn't feel like having it by myself

6) In this week's featured song, Foreigner lead singer Lou Gramm lets us know that he'd sail across a stormy sea to reach his true love. How is the weather where you are today? Are you kicking off 2021 under calm skies, or is it stormy? it is snowing and we are expecting up to 6 inches

7) In the 1990s, Gramm joined forces with Billy Joel in a series of concerts to preserve the Montauk Point Lighthouse. Do you have a favorite Billy Joel song? today I'll go with She's Got A Way

8) In 1977, when this song was popular, Star Wars was breaking all box office records. The Spy Who Loved Me, a James Bond movie, was also a hit. If you were going to binge on one of these film series, would you choose Star Wars or Bond? hmmm.... I guess I'll go with the Star Wars movies today

9) Random question: Would you rather have nothing but green lights for all of 2021, or never have to stand in line for anything all year? I think I'll go with green lights

I'm sorry you missed your New Year's tradition. But by the time the ball drops again, you two will be together! I KNOW IT!

Oooo...a bucket list! Will you be telling us what is on it one of these days? We missed the snow this time. Yay! Enjoy what's left of the weekend.

I threw out the bucket. It reminded me of another saying. ;o)
If you aren't Zooming with your Bestie, maybe you could look into doing that.

Is watching a movie together another possibility? I only know about the watching movies together because it's pretty old school, phones and the Movie channel.
But it might be fun to set it up Zoom or Facetime to do it.

Going to look up how deep a snowfall of 6 inches gets up to. ((HUGS)) I'll think of you while knitting this evening.

It is so warm here in Connecticut that the ponds are not frozen over and today the thermometer topped 50 degrees just not right for January 2nd.

A bucket list! I like that much better than resolutions. I shall have to contemplate one of my own.

Great choice for the Billy Joel question. It is hard to pick!

I've missed your delightful Clooney pics--had forgotten about them, but I'm SO glad to be back (ish?).
