ten things tuesday

 Ten things that elevate my mood when times are tough.  In no particular order.

1) Reese's peanut butter cups or snickers minis.

2) Hugs.

3) Chatting with my students about stuff and stuff.  One of my students and I have a stupid holiday thing--and we wish each other random holidays all the time.  We've done it for three years.

4) Laughing.

5) Celebrating something small.  

6) Going for a drive.  Especially when I have no particular destination or a destination with no time limit.

7) Putting my feet up.  Lymphedema means elevating my feet.  It feels so good.

8) Random emails and text messages from my friends and family.  

9) Coming home.

10) Smiling.  Not fake-it-til-you-make-it smiling but a genuine smile.

  2. Oh yeah, Reese's (or any chocolate, really) definitely improves the mood...but I'm back on the diet and trying really hard not to think about such things. It's Halloween...I'm not doing so well.
