1. My uncle once... drove his antique truck in a parade and my sisters and I got to ride in it and toss candy to the parade-goers.

what was this good book?? I love that teens find good teachers to talk to during lunch... I did that, and had them come talk to me when I taught too... what a nice connection!
Kwiz - I did not know that you lost your mother at such a tender age. I'm so sorry.
Glad you're on the block schedule. Seven classes a day is a killer. Been there. I hope you are surviving this crazy school year.
Lovely to have someone to discuss things with, especially young people with their fresh ideas.
It seems I always get wrapped up in great books/videos late at night.. I am always sorry in the morning.

What a thrill it must have been to ride in the parade and throw candy to the crowd! Aw...I didn't know you had lost your mom when you were so young. I hope you have some better memories of being 5 than that.
