Extraordinary Penpals

1. What are your plans for August? the big plan is going back to school with everything turned on its ear--so many new practices and procedures it's like starting my whole career over.

2. Review the first half of 2020: January/February/March were business as usual but everything after that got surreal and unpleasant

3. A place you’d go if money were no object: anywhere safe

4. Who was your childhood best friend: Lisa M--we reconnected through the magic of Facebook

5. The city or town you love most:
uhm--I'm going to go with home

6. How do you spend hot days? with the fan blasting me

7. Are you a skilled cook or baker? yes although I do neither often

8. One thing you wish you could currently do. travel--I usually spend the summer on little road trips and visiting friends and family that don't live nearby

9. A time when you learned your lesson.  I'm constantly learning my lesson

10, What consistently makes you laugh. being around teenagers

11. Routines that bring you calm and peace. I have been using meditation apps to help guide me to sleep and it's made a significant positive impact on my sleep hygiene

12. Who annoys you the most? those who doubt the COVID precautions are necessary

13. Describe some of your favorite household items. the fridge and microwave

14. What have you gotten better at? knitting

15. Share a random memory.  one of my worst injuries happened when I was uncorking a bottle of wine and my thumb got stuck under the lip of the corkscrew--I have a small scar

16. How many pairs of shoes do you have?
a lot (probably close to 60)

17. Who do you go to for encouragement? my friends and family

18. References you make that others don’t get. my students don't get my references to Bugs Bunny, The Brady Bunch, or old game shows (they only seem to know "Come On Down")

19. What are 10 things you consider essential for you? books and e-readers, my laptop, my car, iced coffee, water, window fans/air conditioning, internet, my clothes, my yarn stash

20. Is there any accent you wish you had? not really

I am not ready to go back to school. The numbers of Covid in Missouri are at record highs! I have a mask and a shield, because our littles cannot wear a mask. Loved your answers! Have a nice Sunday!

Oh ho! The covid scoffers are going to spread this thing into all the corners, so they are.

*echo* CountryDew on the starting school thing.

Knitting, with it's stash of yarn to fondle, is my favorite handicraft, too!
Shoe Queen, so far! I have about 2 dozen old pair, many of which should have to be culled.

None of my old mates are on Facebook - they think it's for "kids". Well I am a big kid really.

:o)
