three on thursday

Thing one:  Dad is home from the hospital.  He was discharged yesterday because it's safer for him to be home than to remain in the hospital where he might be exposed to something else.

Thing two:  It's 4 o'clock in the morning and I have been wide awake for going on three hours.  And I have a busy day.  This is nonsense and I blame menopause!

Thing three:  Last night's library book group was a perfect reminder of why I love book group--a lively discussion of a book that some loved, some liked, and some were not enthusiastic about.  We generated so much talk that I rarely had to ask the discussion questions.  I love talking about books!

I, too have been up half the night. Since 130, it's now 3, I have to be up in an hour for work. Menopause sucks. I wish I'd brought the work computer home, at least I could get some stuff done.

Really, blame menopause. Menopause does, indeed, suck.

But Dad is home and that doesn't suck!

So glad your dad is home. You're right - menopause does suck! I guess I was lucky to work the night shift throughout it so I didn't struggle too much with the sleeplessness. When I can't sleep though, I've found that a boring book on my Kindle with the light setting set very, very low usually helps. Good luck!
