living history

It happened--school is closed for at least two weeks. Not vacation, mind you, but distance learning. Monday and Tuesday are workshop days so teachers can get set up and Wednesday is supposed to be business as usual. Except, this isn't usual. I'm one of the early adapters and adopters of technology and I have no idea what I'm going to do or how I'm supposed to do it. And the nature of my classes is not "read the chapter and do questions at the end" so... I really don't know what this will look like. But I'll try. And maybe something wonderful will happen. At least I'm going to get to keep connecting with my students. That's what matters most. We're creating history. In 20 years THIS MOMENT will be the DBQ they're writing about. (DBQ = document-based question, which is fancy talk for primary and secondary source analysis)
