three on thursday

Thing one: School has been canceled for tomorrow because of the storm.
...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow north with snow and sleet in central areas.
Additional snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches for a storm
total of 12 to 22 inches, sleet accumulations of around one and
a half inch in the central highlands and ice accumulations of
around two tenths of an inch in the central and southern
Penobscot Valley.

* WHERE...Portions of Central Highlands, Far Eastern, Far
Northern, North Woods and Upper Penobscot Valley Maine.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be extremely dangerous.
Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility
and cause localized hazardous travel especially late Friday
afternoon through Friday evening. The hazardous conditions
could impact the morning and evening commute...especially the
evening commute when wind and blowing snow will cause near
zero visibilities.

Thing two: I had my lymphedema treatment today--they called me this morning to reschedule and I couldn't be happier! My ankles are still being stubborn, so we tried a different strategy.

Thing three: I can sleep in tomorrow! I can laze around! I don't have to go anywhere! I don't have to do anything!

Hooray for snow days! That is one thing I miss about driving the bus...those unexpected days off when I didn't have to do a thing.
