2. I'm bummed that the audiologist rescheduled my appointment. I was hoping to take care of it over vacation but now I have to get a substitute and take time off from school. Grrr. I'm hoping to find out about vertigo and tinnitus.

3. The OT appointment was interesting--she tried cupping to move the fluid from my ankles. There was a noticeable difference in how it felt: at first, I had discomfort and basically flinched but after about ten minutes there was a drastic change in the fluid build-up and absolutely no discomfort. It was amazing!

4. Knitting 50 rows of garter stitch is boring.

5. But when I complete the garter rows, I will be finished this project. Finally, it's taken me a looooong time to finish.

6. Getting my geek on with the History Channel's Washington. He's a complex and compelling figure.

7. Why, oh why, do I torture myself by watching the local news broadcast?

8. I might need to buy new shoes. 💁 I saw an ad on BookFace for Tieks. I'm intrigued.

9. I kinda can't believe I don't have any road trips planned for this week. Not even day trips. Maybe the spirit will move me and I'll hop in the car and go.

10. I'm strategizing how I can take a shower before my next OT appointment. It might work if I take the bandages off at home and shower and make it to OT within the hour. That might work. It would feel so wonderful.

  1. I am right there with you on the torture of watching the news. I have never heard of cupping for edema. Interesting!

  3. I tried watching Part 1 of Washington because I worship Doris Kearns Goodwin and my outsized love of Abe has crowded out George. I need to learn more about him. But you know what I don't give a rat's ass about? Battles in French and Indian War. So maybe I should just give up on Part 1 and move onto Part 2. (I really do want to learn more about Martha.)

They tried cupping on my back once and it was interesting but no more effective than massage. Of course, I don't have edema! I'm so glad it was a success for you.

It's funny, but it's the national news that freaking breaks my heart. I take respite in the local news.
