ten things tuesday

Ten things.

1. My OT is thrilled with the results of the lymphedema treatment. I'm over the moon thrilled but it's great to have the specialist reacting with the same enthusiasm as mine.

2. We're supposed to get a whopper of a storm this week. Predictions of 8-12 inches of snow.

3. I'm dreading the storm because I don't have proper footwear for it--I'll probably wrap my legs in bags and wear my Crocs, since they are the only things that fit me. What a terrible time of year to be shoe-impaired.

4. I really hate winter. Other than a couple of weeks around Christmas.

5. Talked to my actor friend and he was telling me about the next show he's in--he said it's quite different than other shows he's done. I want to see it!

6. I'm enjoying the ability to switch seamlessly between my Kindle and Audible books. I love my Nook but I'm developing a soft spot for my Kindle.

7. This is the first time in several years that I'm going to miss my library book group. But I didn't make it through the book. And I asked another member if she would (please) lead the group. And I'm not going. I'm so excited. I've been feeling overwhelmed with the lymphedema treatments and the discomfort and inconvenience of it that I just need some time for myself.

8. I've had people coming to me for advice/to vent/to process. I'm honored they consider me a sounding board.

9. It's supposed to be 21 degrees and sunny tomorrow. What to wear, what to wear. Having three pairs of pants annoys me. I can't wait to get back into regular clothes. (In case you missed it: lymphedema treatment includes wrapping my legs in bandages making them too big for most of my pants and shoes. Thus the whining.)

10.

I'm so happy that your legs are responding to treatment!

It's snowing right now, and is supposed to snow off and on for 24 hours. Predictions of how much, and whether or not it will stick, vary wildly.

I checked out the link to your friend's play and found his name. He's turning the entire blogosphere into his fan club.
