Thing one: It makes me happy that our family traditions have evolved into a relaxing, reflective time. We enjoy each others' company without the fuss and muss of a big production of a meal for three people.
Thing two: It makes me happy when technology connects me with my sisters who live in other states (and their families). What a treat to video chat and share the holidays even though we're far apart.
Thing three: It makes me happy when perspective helps me reframe my thinking so I see all the blessings in my world.
