The Addams Family

1) One of TV's spookiest families was inspired by a series of New Yorker cartoons. What's the last magazine you flipped through? O, The Oprah magazine

2) The Addams' butler, Lurch, was originally conceived as a mute. But then actor Ted Cassidy ad libbed the line, "You rang?" and Lurch had a voice, and a catchphrase. Can you think of another catchphrase connected to a TV character? Dana Carvey's Church Lady's "Well isn't that special?"

3) Now here's the most important question of the week: Do you prefer The Addams Family or The Munsters? I liked both--but the Addams Family really win my heart

4) What's the scariest movie you've ever seen? The Amityville Horror or The Exorcist or The Shining

5) Thursday was Halloween. What goodies did you give the trick or treaters? I did not give out any goodies

6) Are you attending/have you attended any Halloween parties this year? no

7) Did you carve a jack o'lantern this year? no

8) Do you eat candy corn all year around ... only at Halloween ... or never? I don't avoid candy corn but I don't go out of my way to eat it

9) In 1964, when The Addams Family premiered, one of the most popular store-bought Halloween costumes was Bambi. It came with a plastic mask held on by a thin elastic band. Tell us about a memorable Halloween costume from your childhood. I had a particularly great fortune teller costume

I have never seen The Shining, start to finish. And yet so many scenes are iconic. I really should give it its due and watch it.

The Birds will forever be the scariest movie for me. Still to this day I can't watch it alone! I never liked those Halloween costumes with the plastic masks because of the condensation that got inside from all of the running and heavy breathing. My dad was career military, usually us 7 kids would go out as wounded soldiers using his stuff! :D

I bet you made a good fortune teller. The Shining is a tough horror movie. I think a lot of impact of specific movies depends on the age you are when you see it, too. I saw The Shining when it first came out - I think was 17? So it scared the crap out of me. It was the last horror movie I saw.

I refuse to watch the Amityville Horror. I even leave the room if someone else is watching it. I read the book the summer I turned 13 or 14 and it scared the bejeebers out of me. It still freaks me out if I wake up and the clock says 3:15.
