The Perfect Fan

1) In this song, a son thanks his mother for helping him grow up strong and confident. Who is the last person you thanked? What did they do for you? a student wrote me a heartfelt note for teacher appreciation day

2) Who was the last person to thank you for something? I guess it was my student--thanking me for making my classroom a welcoming environment

3) This is from the Backstreet Boys' album Millennium, recorded and released in 1999. Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when 1999 turned into 2000? I was celebrating with some friends that I've drifted apart from (which is sad) and we sang and danced all night--they had a karaoke machine--it was a BLAST

4) This song was written by Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell. Brian voiced himself on an episode of PBS' Arthur. Arthur has been described as an "animated anthropomorphic aardvark" -- which can be difficult to say. Do you easily get tongue tied? yes, I used to have a stammer so I have some tricks for tongue twisters

5) The French word for "mother" is "mère." What other French words do you know? Oui, je parle un peu de français. Je comprends plus que je ne peux parler.

6) Mother's Day is a big holiday for card shops. So are birthdays, weddings, and St. Patrick's Day. Hallmark sells greetings for everything from "Congratulations on Your New Job" to "Happy Retirement." Who received the most recent card you bought? I can't remember--could it possibly have been the Christmas card I got Dad?

7) Have you put away your winter clothes yet? yes, but I regret the decision

8) Mother Winters used to scold Sam for leaving her dirty dishes in the sink. Sam admits it: as a grown up, she's still a bit of a slob. Do lean toward "neat" or "messy?" messy without any equivocation

9) To celebrate Mother's Day, Sam is giving away her mother's favorite: Hershey Bars. Would you prefer classic milk chocolate, dark chocolate or milk chocolate with almonds? today I will choose milk chocolate with almonds

Sitting here trying to figure out what it is about your life I envy more ... Hmmm .... Is it your relationship with your dad or your success with your students?

My husband had a stutter when he was a little boy. If he has any tricks he's never shared them with me. Maybe he just does it without thinking? I do know that when he gets all worked up about something he will begin to stutter a little bit.

I can tell that your students really like you a lot just from your instagram feed. They will always remember you for it too :)

You are the kind of teacher that everyone wishes they'd always had. Fair, patient (but not a push over), and A kind person.

Sorry to be so late in answering. I've just got back from an mri. Wheee! ;o)
