I'm reading The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row.

July is always hot in Alabama, even when it's cloudy out, so when my mother asked me to mow the lawn, I didn't want to do it. In fact, it was the last thing I wanted to do. I was thinking about seeing my girl, Sylvia, later, and I was thinking about the revival we were going to at church. And the last thing I wanted to do was get all hot and sweaty cutting the grass.

I'm drawn to the cover and your 56. Sounds really good! I added you to the Linky. Happy Canada day weekend and happy early Independence day!

Living in Alabama myself, I can relate to that excerpt. LOL And I'm always looking for stories set in my neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing this one:)

Sounds like a good book!

As someone who lives in Alabama I can attest to the truth in this passage. July is miserably hot and the humidity is worse! I wouldn't want to mow the yard either.
