Ten things I should say more often:
1) No. I admit I've gotten better at guarding my time, but I still find myself wishing I had said no.
2) Why not? I could be more spontaneous.
3) I don't know. Instead, I speculate answers. I should just say I don't know and move on.
4) Take your time. Especially at school. I get caught up trying to cram a bajillion things into a class period. Sometimes we need time to do it well.
5) Great job!
6) Can you help me? Probably the hardest thing to say.
7) Tell me your corniest joke. Sometimes we need a laugh--a clean humor laugh.
8) How is your stress level today? I should check in with my students and make sure they aren't overwhelmed.
9) I'm impressed!
10) I love you. I could say it more often, especially to my friends.

#6 is why I've become hooked on Pawn Stars. At least once an episode, Rick or Corey says, "I'm not an expert on [dolls, books, guns, cars] but I know someone who is. Do you mind if I call him?" I LOVE THAT! I wish I was more open about admitting when I need help.
#7 A grandmother is watching her grandson playing on the beach. A huge wave comes and takes him out to sea. She pleads, "Please, God, save my only grandson. I will live a blameless life if only you return him to me. I beg of you, bring him back." And a big wave washes the boy back onto the beach, good as new. She looks up to Heaven and says, "He had a hat."
Oh, I love this post! I feel like I've got very similar answers...maybe a teacher personality thing. :)
And Gal's corny joke made me chuckle.
