I'm certainly glad you are a survivor!
FB is wonderful for keeping up with family. I keep in touch with cousins and nieces and nephews that I'd probably not hear from otherwise. I'm also in touch with a lot of former high school classmates that I'm positive I wouldn't be in touch with otherwise.
"This too shall pass" has been a saying in our family my entire life.
