wishing it was now

Tonight I am full of Christmas spirit. And wishing I didn't have school all week, yes, really until Friday. But I went to my dad's holiday concert and this is the one that fills my grinchy heart until it grows. The choir was in good voice, the guest performers were excellent, and the bell choir had peppier than usual selections.

I want to focus on my holiday spirit. My good mood. And I want to spread cheer. I know some students are going through tremendous struggles (homelessness, etc) and perhaps my goal this week should be to lift others up. Let them know they aren't alone.

No one wants to do school work, so I'm hoping the How the Grinch Stole Psychology Class activity works well this year.

I didn't realize that some of your students were homeless. Oh, Kwiz! How that must tug at you! And how hard it must be to learn while confronted with all that uncertainty.

It is so sad to think that teenagers can be homeless. We have some in our area too! Just too sad! I am happy you found some Christmas spirit!
