Ten things on my mind:
1) I'm on a few hours' break from school--we had a workshop this morning and freshman orientation is this evening. It's the first time in many years that I haven't worked straight through. I'm glad to be home puttering.
2) I like making friends. I like having someone to think about and figure out.
3) I should have been going to the doctors office all summer to get my blood pressure checked. I put it off until now, when my blood pressure is probably up because of school angst.
4) I really love car. Even though I wasn't quite ready to get one, I had rumbled about it. I was shocked my old car wouldn't pass inspection. I love my new car.
5) I think I am ready for school to start. I think so. My head is in the game and I am mostly prepared. Just a few little things I can attend to this evening at orientation.
6) I am going to try using Google Classroom so I can go paperless. It would be convenient for students to submit papers electronically rather than creating a huge stack of paper.
7) It's been a great summer. I've read and knit and relaxed.
8) And I've had some adventures, checking things off my Bucket List (Broadway show, seeing John Cariani in a play, going to NYC, taking the Benedicta exit, and going to the Alpaca store).
9) I had a good talk with my student teacher today. I think we're going to be a good fit. I feel comfortable with him in the room, even though I don't have much for him to do right now.
10) My summer jam has been Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling"

What a great list. Sounds like you are ready for school to begin again. The summer went by so fast!!
Reading, knitting and relaxing are all worthy summer pursuits.
I didn't know that song was Justin Timberlake! Thanks for posting the video.
