I'm with you on beets. The only kind I will eat is in borcht, which tastes nothing like beets.

I'm not a fan of beets either, though I'll eat canned ones if I have to.

aww, i remember "the rainbow connection." i used to sing it a lot when i was a child; now it just makes me weepy whenever i think of the lyrics. :(

My peonies did nothing this year. One plant didn't even grow. I think the two bad winters in a row killed them or something.

I'm not a fan of beets, either, but LOVE eggs pickled in the pickled beets. Go figure. We could all get together over cookies and milk and only need one kind of cookie, though. Hooray for chocolate chips!
