Sophie Honeywell always wondered if Thomas Gordon was the one she let get away. He was the perfect boyfriend, but on the day he was to propose, she broke his heart. This description sounds a bit fluffier than the novel actually is. It's more literary fiction than a typical Chick Lit novel (and trust me, I've read a ton of Chick Lit!) There's an element of mystery mixed with some whimsical ideas. It took me a while to figure out that the titular anniversary is not for a wedding but for an event. Then it clicked for me. I liked it. The author hasn't disappointed me!
