What do non-reader friends think about your reading habits? Do they understand? Are they sympathetic? Or are they always trying to get you to “get your nose out of that book?”

I don't have many non-reader friends. They generally think I'm crazy for reading as much as I do. Especially when I tell them that I set yearly reading goals and usually hit the magic number or surpass it! They don't relate to it although they do tend to encourage me.

Well, it's nice that your friends can at least encourage setting and meeting goals even if they don't understand them. Maybe you can equate it to the time they spend on something else (working out, hours put in at a job).

I have friends that read. But almost no one in my family does. I think they have always thought I was crazy!!
