Do you have a favorite book? What do you say when people ask you? (This question always flummoxes me because how can you pick just one, so I’m eager to hear what you folks have to say.)

I can't pick just one favorite. I like to pick favorites by genre. Then I get to have multiple favorites. My favorite has changed over the years. For a long time, it was Eureka Street by Robert McLiam Wilson; I recommended it to everyone. But I'm such an avid reader, and the past few years have been such great reading years (with lots of 4 or 5 star books) that it's natural for my favorite to evolve.

Funny, but in all your book-y posts, I don't recall you ever mentioning this one before. And I do pay attention to your recommendations. After all, you're the one who turned me on to the Spellmans!
