musing mondays

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• I’m currently reading…
• Up next I think I’ll read…
• I bought the following book(s) in the past week…
• I’m super excited to tell you about (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I’m really upset by (book/author/bookish-news)…
• I can’t wait to get a copy of…
• I wish I could read ___, but…
• I blogged about ____ this past week…

This week’s random question: What’s your favorite genre? Why?

My favorite genre is contemporary fiction. Although, I do love a thriller. And mysteries. My gut reaction, though, is contemporary fiction. I like reading about things going on in contemporary times, they give me a touchstone to suppose and wonder what other peoples' lives are like. Or another perspective of life while I'm living my ordinary life.

I love contemporaries, too; lately, I mix them up with an excess of thrillers...LOL. Here are my BLUE MONDAYS MUSINGS

I'm like you I love my crime fiction but I also like a good contemporary tale and to mix it up a fair smattering of historical fiction. Here is my MM for this week https://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/03/02/musing-mondays-march-2/

I don't think I have ever read contemporary fiction. Um. I am not even sure what is contemporary fiction.

I try to read a diversity, but lately I have been reading a lot of contemporary fiction. I really love dystopians!

Trying to remember the last time a thriller gripped me, really made me sorry to put it down. And it's been a while.

I thought I'd posted a comment to this, but now I'm not so sure. Hm, apologies if this comes up twice somehow, but I was saying: contemporary crime is a genre I've returned to and am enjoying, but urban fantasy or I guess, in a way contemporary fantasy is hands down my fave genre: http://editingeverything.com/weekly-events/monday-musing-7/

I love thrillers and mystery too. But a good biography now and then isn't too bad either
