ten things tuesday

Linking up with Ten On Tuesday this week.

This week's topic is 10 Stores You Like.

1) Barnes & Noble. It is my mecca. I love the books and gifts I can get and the selection of magazines. Unfortunately, it is 4 hours south of here so I don't get to go often. And it's a big deal when I do get to go.

2) CJ Banks. This would be my second mecca. I love the clothes, the quality and the styles.

3) LYS. My local yarn store, called Merchants On The Corner used to be the home of my knitting group. Even though the group doesn't meet there anymore, I still manage to go in once every week or two.

4) Graves' Shop'n Save. My independently owned local grocery store. I worked there before I got my teaching job--I love the friendly associates and the clean, well-lit aisles.

5) Country Collectibles. A local gift shop. I also worked there and helped them open their business. That's the job that I wrapped presents for. I love wrapping presents!

6) Target. The closest one is two-and-a-half hours south of here. But I love it. I look at everything when I go there.

7) Rosemary's Yarn Shop. This shop is about 5 hours south of here and it is the largest yarn shop in Maine. It's almost overwhelming. And I still haven't quite figured out how the store is set up.

8) The Christmas Tree Shop. Wow, that store is the motherlode of inexpensive, holiday-themed goodies!

9) JC Penny. It is one of the few local stores. I get a lot of gifts there--home goods, accessories, and some clothes.

10) LL Bean. My status as a native Mainer would be revoked if I didn't mention this store.

We have Target and Penny's here; otherwise none of the others you mentioned!

I don't think I ever really appreciated just how far out you are until I read this post. Reminds me of living in Alaska, LOL!
