Paint It Black
1) This song was chosen because yesterday was Black Friday, the traditional day of sales. Have you begun your Christmas shopping? I just have some little things left
2) Are there any Thanksgiving leftovers in your refrigerator right now? sadly, no
3) AAA says Thanksgiving is a big travel weekend. Did you venture far from home for your holiday dinner? about a mile
4) Keith Richards likes France but, alas, the French authorities haven't always been fond of him and his criminal record. Have you ever been to France? I have--and I would love to go back
5) Mick Jagger jokes that, to be polite to fellow hotel guests, he always finishes trashing his room by 10:00 PM. What kind of hotel/motel guest are you? Are you rockstar rambunctious, or are you quiet? Are you neat? Have you stolen any towels, bathrobes, etc.? I am a quiet, neat guest
6) Mick Jagger got his financial savvy as a student at the London School of Economics. Are you good with money? no, I'm terrible
7) In the early 1990s, a then little-known actress named Angelina Jolie appeared in a Rolling Stones video ("Anybody Seen My Baby?"). Name an Angelina Jolie movie. Maleficent
8) In the early 1960s, the Stones nearly avoided tragedy when their tour bus skidded off a bridge. Tell us about a near miss you're thankful for. my car slid into a snowbank, narrowly missing an embankment with a huge drop
9) In 1966, when this week's song was popular, CBS telecast How the Grinch Stole Christmas for the first time. What's your favorite Dr. Seuss story? I love them all!

Actually, I did most of my Christmas shopping, all I have left is my brother and sister-in-law.
I got a honorarium for speaking and they gave me a UConn Co-op gift certificate so I bought all my grand nieces and nephews UConn sweatshirts.
I've had a few near misses in the snow/ice... hard when you're out of control in something you SHOULD feel "safe" in.
I would love to go to Paris... kind of scared to now... international relations scare me.
I didn't know you went to France. I was aware of your love affair with Ireland, of course, but I didn't know about France.
The older I get the less I want to drive in bad weather.
I use to be much better with the car slips and slides when I was younger. Now I just want to stay home.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend :)
Honestly, it's hard to imagine having to drive in such terrible weather. That accident must have been absolutely heart stopping.
Good for you having all your shopping nearly done.
France and I have a bad relationship. I've been there twice, both times with bad results. I was scheduled to go this year and a friend, with whom we were scheduled to travel, died, so we canceled our trip.
I haven't been to France, my husband has. And I've been super-jealous of his stories and photos he took while he was there.
In the Company of Me
I just went to Paris for the second time. My husband and I had their honeymoon there six years ago. And now we just spent Thanksgiving there. It is such a beautiful city!
