Spam infiltration perplexes me, too. If I allow anonymous comments, I get a lot more BS than when I don't. It only takes them a day to find you, too, if you make the change.
You must publish considerably more than one post a day. I have written daily since 2000 and only have 5200+ entries!
I have no idea how long I've been blogging for. It all started on Blogger with my IamHarriet blog which I moved over to WP and got a few other domain names for.
I am guessing at my total of close to 20,000 posts, but there was a time when I posted more than once a day and a few times when I had more than one blog, so I still think I have to be approaching that number.
I really like memes and challenges, too. They inspire me to write as my daily life doesn't always lend itself to interesting topics! :) And I do hate the spam--especially those awkwardly worded one that tries to make like they are praising you but you know that they have not read a word of what you just wrote!
