Super Duper Love

1) The lyrics say, "I'm as proud as a girl can be." Tell us about something you're proud of. I made a huge dent in my holiday knitting

2) This song is from her first CD, The Soul Sessions. She's told interviewers that the first CD she ever owned was by Aretha Franklin: Greatest Hits. So while we're talking firsts, do you remember your first CD (or tape or record)? The first CD I got was The Beatles' Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

3) Last year, two men were convicted of plotting to kill Joss Stone. Even though she had (fortunately!) never even met the men, she still had to testify during their trial. Have you ever had to speak to a judge? I have, briefly

4) Joss is frequently in the British press because of her friendship with Princes William and Harry. Who among your friends leads the most exciting life? my friend and colleague who is a former Teacher of the Year, working on her doctorate, raising a soon to be freshman in high school and triplets--all boys, who live on an organic farm. NEVER a dull moment!

5) Because of dyslexia, Joss had trouble in school and dropped out when she was 16. What's the last grade you completed? a BS in Secondary Education, concentration in Social Studies

6) She provided the voice of the villainness for the James Bond video game, Blood Stone. Do you have a Playstation or Xbox? not only do I not have one, I've never played either

7) Sam is especially crazy this morning because she can't find her phone. What's the last thing you misplaced? my school keys

8) After composing this Saturday 9, Sam is off to Lowe's to pick up some heavy duty indoor/outdoor trash bags. Will you be in any stores this weekend? I was already at Staples, picking up a print job, and... I don't think I'm going anywhere else

9) Do you consider yourself more book smart, or street smart? I'd like to think I've got a good blend of both

I have never played a game box of any kind, the last one we had was an Atari back in 1981.

I love video games, but I don't like the multiplayer online/social stuff that it has gone too. I liked single RPG games and those have become hard if not impossible to find. Most of my games were for PC and today's PCs can't play them. It makes me sad.

That dent is something to be proud of. And, I would love if you joined us on our pizza journey :)

Good for you for getting holiday knitting done! I can't think that far ahead yet. Wow, your friend sounds like a busy woman!
