I tend to read more contemporary fiction than any other kind. Some older ones seem dated (like Ender's Game--which was very 80s). And I do enjoy some outright old ones, but I don't read them all that often.

Contemporary fiction is my preferred fiction genre as well--although I do like to go back to a classic every now and then.
I like reading historic fiction written today as well as older fiction such as AJ Cronin and of course LM Montgomery - 2 reviews just written this weekend =)
