As Time Goes By
1) This is the theme song of Casablanca, generally acknowledged as one the screen's great love stories. In honor of Valentine's Day weekend, what's your favorite movie romance? I love City of Angels
2) Even though he was only 5'8 and had a receding hairline, Humphrey Bogart was a popular leading man. What movie or TV actor or actress makes your heart skip a beat? oh, George, my George
3) Sweethearts are those little heart-shaped candies that are printed with messages like, "Be Mine" and "Kiss Me." Do you like how they taste? I haven't eaten one in years--I don't remember liking them
4) Valentine's Day is a big day for florists. When is the last time a floral arrangement adorned your table or desk? I received a bunch of carnations on Thursday from some students and colleagues
5) Do you think an e-card means as much as a conventional card in an envelope? yes
6) Despite what you see on Valentines, the human heart isn't bright red. It's really a brownish shade of red, like a brick. Now it's your turn. Share some trivia that's been rattling around in your head. (It does NOT have to be about Valentines or the human heart. It can be any random fact at all.) Maine is the only single syllable state name.
7) When is the last time you thought your heart would break? Thursday
8) What is the most recent thing to lift your heart? watching the Beatles special, celebrating music I love
9) Who is the most "hard hearted" person you know? one of the teachers at school is a prickly pear

What a surprise, "George Clooney" I would never had guessed! :)
I was so happy that Sir Paul and Ringo looked so spry and healthy on that special. Now I wish some network would celebrate Diana Ross & the Supremes. It was 50 years ago that they had three consecutive #1 hits, the first African American/girl group to do so. Quite a feat!
ahhhhhh George. There are just so many actors that are just yummy. It's so hard to choose just one!
And "prickly pear" - I haven't heard that one in a long time!
I missed the Beatle's special--life got in the way. Oh well.
On another note--I just saw the list of questions for tomorrow's Sunday Stealing--WOW!!! Nice choice--right up my alley! I can't wait! :-)
That Beatle special was awesome. I saved it on my Tivo...
Aww, that was nice getting carnations. Students can be so great, yeah? They are my heart-lifters many a time.
I'm so glad they did the Beatles thing with respect. You never know what Hollywood is going to do to the classic stuff these days.
oh yes, the yummy Mr. Clooney. And what a sweet thing those carnations from your colleagues and the students. Carnations were my gram's favorite flowers so she made doilies with them along the edges.
A prickly pear, eh? Great expression.
