Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying about it.
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

When my reading group meets later this week, we'll be selecting our reads for the year. I am always nervous in making my pick. I don't want to have THE book that everyone hates! Or the book that there just isn't anything to say about. I used to pick books that I had already read, so I'd know for sure it would be a good one but the past few times I've selected from my TBR.
I've got it narrowed down to these:
- Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld
- The Other Typist by Suzanne Rindell
- The Ocean At The End Of The Lane by Neil Gaiman
- The Cutting Season by Attica Lock
- The Four Corners Of The Sky by Michael Malone

I read Sisterland...hope you enjoy it. I did.
I also want to read The Other Typist.
Here's MY MUSING MONDAYS POST
I know how you feel--it's even better to pick a book that no one likes--but that generates a lot of discussion about WHY no one liked it, rather than picking a book that generates no discussion at all!
I haven't read any of your "nominees", but Sisterland and The Other Typist are both on my TBR list. Be sure to let us know what you pick!
I want to read The Other Typist so if you choose this one I'll be interested to see what you thought of it.

Sittenfeld writes such beautiful prose. I can't imagine that being THE book everyone hates.
Ocean at the End of the Lane is one I am recommending to my reading group. I own it but am waiting to read when or if we choose it. Here is my MM
