I had to look up Spite & Malice, I had no idea what it was.
This made me smile because I have two sisters and, thanks to you, have now internally nicknamed them "Spite" and "Malice."

Teacher's can't last if they aren't tough. Reasonable is a great quality to have with it.
Tough and reasonable is good. I have to look up spice and malice.
Reasonable is in the eye of the beholder and I'm certain you are reasonable, but not in everyone's eyes. ;-)
I had a horrible time with #1 as well.
