1) Lists. If you follow my blog, you know I enjoy a list. A couple of online list services I like are Scribbles and
Thingamalist.
2) Laughter. My favorite sound. Especially kids giggling.
3) Love. I may be single but I have a lot of love in my life.
4) Literature. The classics, contemporary, light, dark. I love literature!
5) Libraries. It was the first place I was allowed to go by myself when I was a kid. I used to spend a LOT of time there, browsing, reading, sampling, hanging around, and loving the librarian. There was a whole world waiting for me.
6) Liberty. I have to explain this to students, when I teach them about the Bill of Rights (and the Declaration of Independence). It's such an important concept.
7. Language. I love word play.
8. Leaves. I enjoy driving around looking at foliage during all the leafy seasons. Our autumn is particularly colorful and splendid.
9. Laptop. I love my laptop.
10. My last name. Some of my students call me Ms. L.

I think it's very cool that the first place you were allowed to go alone as a kid was the library. It clearly had a tremendous impact on you and got you on the right path.
