I'm trying to keep this in mind. I'm trying not to freak out about teaching three new classes next school year. I am curious. I'm trying not to spaz out about the AP Institute next week.
Ah, fear. My shrink and I talk about it a lot. I try to figure out WHY I fear certain things and she says that's just a distraction. Knowing the impetus won't necessarily alleviate the fear, so that's not what I should concentrate on. She says it's not the fear that holds me back, it's what the fear keeps me from doing.
I like this approach, too. Instead of being afraid, I should try being curious!
