1) It's exam week. I've gone a day and a half without administering a single exam. The rest of my week will be slammed. Bah!
2) I did get appointed to the library board of trustees. Starting in February and finishing in December of 2014.
3) The slushtastic roads were a real bitch this morning. Slushy, icy, yucky. Grrrrr.
4) The classroom is stuffy. It's the energy of testing students, stuffing up the positive flow of air. I might even have to open a window.
5) My lesson plans are complete until our mid-winter break in February. And the photocopying that accompanies it is also done.
6) A friendly colleague just came in to relieve me for a few minutes. How nice!
7) Reading directions is tricky when anxiety is high for these test takers.
8) I hate when I phone someone and leave a message and they don't acknowledge that I've called. I asked you to call me back!
9) I'm taking classes in content literacy and am really excited to try out an activity I created to go along with the strategy we "studied."
10) I can tell I'm in my winter slump, although not nearly as much as I was last year, because all I want to do is go to bed early. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. But yeah, significantly better than a year ago.

I'm guilty of not picking up voicemail messages. Maybe try sending a text instead.
Congratulations, Mlle Board Member! I'm like you with #8, but in reverse. I hate it when someone is pissed that I haven't answered their TEXT message when they know I'm always available by phone and email. There's no reason to text me.
