I got to spend some much needed time with my bestie today. We haven't really had time to visit since my birthday and we had much to discuss. She's going through a struggle now and it pains me that there's nothing I can do help her. We were able to celebrate her birthday which made me very happy. She deserves to be celebrated.

Yea! This is EXACTLY why I consider birthdays almost holy! Sometimes they come around just when a person needs a little extra chocolate and love in their lives.
It's so great that you were able to get together. Tough times are easier to deal with when you have good friends to share with.
