It was a great night for theater. Opening nights sometimes have glitches but tonight was smooth. It was a hoity-toity event, too, with a cocktail hour at the University President's house before the show and a meet-n-greet after the show. Growing up in a theater family I still have no trouble getting lost in the acting. Most of the time I can suspend my relationship and enjoy the performance. My dad is incredibly gifted, as are my sisters. And they love being on stage. I love being in the audience. Or in the technical booth. Tonight's production was very good. I actually want to see it again.
Here's a great article about John, the playwright.

I love live theater! How lucky you are to have family in the business. Congratulations to you all and I hope it has a successful run.
This is so cool! I'm glad that it all went off without a hitch, and that you were able to lose yourself in the story. Sounds like John had a lovely homecoming.
