8/21 Teacher Appreciation Day was held at Staples this morning. The goodies were a little skimpy. Oh well. I picked up some other stuff using the 20% off coupon. I love school supplies.
I thought it was pretty lame, too, but I'd never been to one before, so I had no basis for comparison.
I bought some dry-erase markers (can't have enough of those) and some scissors (ditto). I had to restrain myself from buying binder clips and Post-its. Goddess, but I love office supplies!
Binder clips are my new passion. Why have I been wasting my life using paper clips when I could have been using binder clips? And is anything more sublime than freshly sharpened pencils? Office supplies are such fun.
We have the COOLEST thing here. It is a store just for teachers at qualifying schools. Everything is free. You can go once per month and get items. You can only get so many different items and only in the quantities allowed, but still...Free. Sometimes there are cool bonus things. This is really great b/c teachers do not receive individual funds. Everything has to be requested through the office and it is a little bit of a pain.
