Lots of good performances on Idol tonight. I thought Casey James was channeling his inner Eddie Vedder (not an insult). Crystal was great again tonight. There are so many great options with the Lennon/McCartney songbook. Such great songs. Not quite sure what the hell Siobhan was wearing, but her rendition of Across The Universe was lovely. Not overdone at all. I was kind of afraid she was going to turn into a one-trick-pony. I'm not a fan of the shrieky stuff. I still haven't connected with Katie although she did a very nice job. I just really love Lee. His tousled hair, gravelly voice and the bagpipe player! A didgeridoo and bagpipes in one show!

Yes, I loved Lee, too. But I have been loving Lee for a couple weeks now. Glad to see Crystal loosen up a bit -- I guess a didgeridoo will do that to a girl! For me, the surprise of the night was Young Tim. He knows he's a teen dream and he did my Paul's earliest teen dream song very well. Nice things happen when pretty boy meets pretty song. Siobhan's makeup was so well done, and her hair was so elegant, I almost didn't notice her outfit. (Almost.)
Yes, I take Idol way too seriously, even from vacation. I predict "Can't Buy Me Love" boy goes home tonight.
