What kills me is "deaf" for "death", as in "deaf certificate." I've actually rewound and replayed TV shows when I've heard this, to make sure.Haven't heard "shtreet" though. Thank God--something to look forward to!
My personal pet peeve? "Axe" for "Ask". Drives me batty.
