give me five monday

# 51
Becca's back!!

Give Me Five of your favorite ways to be crafty or creative.

1) Blogging is a great opportunity for me to be creative.

2) Lesson planning. It's how to be creative within the parameters of the content. Dreaming up creative ways to engage students in musty-fusty history.

3) Bulletin boards. Are the visualization of the content we're working on in class. And they take a lot of effort.

4) Clothing and accessories. I actually feel creative when I put outfits together and accessorize. Especially after I discovered What Not To Wear.

5) Journaling. I use my journal for thoughts, ideas, rants, counting my blessings and all sorts of things.

Great list. It's obvious you love your work. Thanks for putting so much of yourself into your students.

Wow, how could I have forgotten blogging? LOL

I want to mirror Clara, thank you so much for all your hard work and thoughtfulness that you put into your teaching. I don't think enough people put effort into children today...somehow society is becoming increasingly selfish. Anyway...

I am currently taking a Journaling To The Self class written by Kay Adams. It's a great class so far that gives you ways to jump start your journaling experience such as springboards (one of my faves). I took this class once before as an all day class, but this time it is being presented over 5 weeks. If you take a course with an instructor, it can be quite expensive. Our facilitator is getting her certification and offered the class for a SIGNIFICANT discount :) I'm pretty sure if you just bought the workbook, you could 'teach' it to yourself, it's not rocket science LOL Have a great day!! Keep journaling!
