Sorry I removed the original comment, because it wasn't finished!
The same thing happened to me! I ran malware bytes, Ad-aware and virus checker...everything was fine.
Right before it happened, I had been using gmail, back and forth to blogger and the last time I went to check the next gmail, it said the last one hadn't been sent. So I naturally resent it, and then immediately my latest gmail was a REPLY to that gmail that supposedly didn't get sent!
This is the message I got along with a big google logo:
"We're sorry ... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now"
I have been offline for 8 hours, so this is my first activity.
I also had Twitter open earlier and noticed my twitterfeed not working, and I tried to "share to twitter" using my "addthis" button from addthis.com and that would not work either.
Finally I manually tweeted something, and I noticed the same tweet msg. stayed in the update box, even after I deleted out, because the tweet was already sent. Then later I would refresh twitter and that same latest tweet of mine was STILL in the box waiting to be sent. (sorry if you don't have twitter, this may not make sense!)
Anyway I logged out of twitter and I think twitter had problems too for sure!
