Of this list, I've seen the Bond flick (liked it) and Great Debaters (which I bought to have forever and ever). I have no interest in Boy in the Striped Pajamas (it did not earn much respect from the Holocaust Studies community with which I am associated) and I own the Kite Runner because I loved the book, but it's a film I've not yet sat down to watch...
I really enjoyed Rachel Getting Married (except for the actual wedding, which I felt went on and on ...). Watch for Debra Winger in a small but pivotal role.

The Reader is memorable, but so disturbing!
