getting ready to go...
So, tomorrow I'm heading to Portland with my parents to pick up their Bichon Frise rescue dog. She's a fifteen month-old whose owner passed away in December. Instead of getting a puppy, we're getting a trained puppy! And I'm thrilled that I get to go with them. It's like I get to have a dog without all the responsibilities! I'll take lots of pictures.

This is such good news! It's like Melly said in Gone with the Wind, "The happiest days are when babies come." What a lucky little rescue dog that is, too. A happy ending for a pup whose previous owners obviously didn't regard it very highly. I hope you all live happily ever after!
Yes please - I love pictures of Bichons almost as much as the actual dog. I have a Maltese because I fell in love with a Bichon but then couldn't find one to purchase (I was on a small Pacific island with limited options). The two breeds are apparently closely related. Would love to adopt a trained dog to keep mine company. Looking forward to seeing yours!
I can't wait to see her!
