I'm really excited to help my school create a Gay Straight Alliance. I think the atmosphere at school is ready for a strong coalition. Not only did we manage to get administration approval, the students were able to find an adviser! I knew I wasn't able to take on the full responsibility of organizing and running the group but I can help. GLSEN has helped with a lot of resources and a fantastic contact person that I actually know through my work with the Civil Rights Team and the Attorney General's Office.

I'm sure I'll have more to say about it as things unfold. I'm excited to get the ball rolling!
