The First Apartment

1. Where had you moved from? my childhood home to Cork, Ireland

2. Describe your first apartment.a two-story, two bedroom, frighteningly small bathroom, small patio, dining room, living room--we took the dining room table out because it was the only room with a fireplace for heat, we sat on the floor all the time

5. What was your place of employment then? I was a foreign-exchange student, not allowed to work

6. How were you finances at the time? desperate student, plus it was when the market crashed in '87
