ten things tuesday...

Ten things I like to do around the holidays: (as ever, in random order)

1) drive around looking at lights. Especially Christmas Eve, in my fuzzy pajamas. With a big travel mug of cocoa. My town is big on luminaries, some streets are completely lined. I will try to take pictures if the weather is cooperative.
2) sing my little heart out to all the cheery songs. Classics, cheesies, you name it I'll sing along to it.
3) wrap presents. Possibly an OCD thing but I love wrapping presents and how festive they look.
4) holiday shopping. I actually enjoy getting up early to beat the crowds, there's a sense of sleepy-wonder in the air.
5) finding the perfect gift. I have a knack. Truly.
6) gorbing out on my favorite yule time treats.
7) wearing a different holiday pin every day for the whole month. Yes, you read that correctly.
8) holiday cheer. Can I help that I'm happy? and wish everyone was, too?
9) spending time with loved ones. The older I get the more it means to me.
10) holiday traditions. I like that I've developed my own traditions. I like having family traditions. Traditions give me fond, fond memories.
