This year I am truly blessed because my sisters are home! We are all together! I wish one of my sister's family had been able to come with her but I am thrilled she's here. Mostly they came to see Dad after his medical scare, and they both think he looks great and seems like his normal self.
I've been split between school and hanging out with the family and that's been hard. But now I'm on school break and we're having a delightful time. Today we even had a portrait taken--it's been since 1991 that we've had just the four of us in a professional photo. We looked at it and realized we're older. *sigh* We're older.
The four of us chose the same photo, though, no discussion or argument or anything, we all said, "that's it," and picked out what we wanted for a package. The sales clerk seemed surprised that it was so easy for us. And the price couldn't be beat!
It's been a week full of laughter and shared memories. I can't wait for the feast, when we all contribute something to the celebration. I feel rejuvenated being together.
