ten things tuesday...

1) I voted last week. I'm so glad I did because my social anxiety would make me just crazy to have to be at the polls.

2) My students were really curious about my vote. I told them I voted for the candidate I think will do the best job, then I asked them what they thought.

3) My parents used to have groovy (hey, it was the 60s) election parties... with costumes and get-ups and all. I wish my friends and I did something like that. It would be fun. But I can't stay up too late.

4) It's kind of exciting to have such an exciting, history-making election. Regardless of the outcome, history will be made.

5) I didn't get a sticker. I miss getting a sticker.

6) My state is projected to go for Obama. The polls closed forty-two minutes ago.

7) I have to make a significant presentation to a panel of visitors at school tomorrow and I haven't given it any thought, other than what I'll wear.

8) Low-fat white cheddar Cheeze Its rock.

9) The price of gas is $2.59. I wonder if it'll go up now that the election is done.

10) I actually think the Electoral College is a good idea. I feel like I'm the minority. For knowing and understanding the Electoral College and agreeing with it.

History WAS made and let's all have a good revel now, shall we? You know, BEFORE we get reminded about how much now needs to get done to get our country back on track.

I did get a sticker (my first in this country) and it's now an official relic...
Hope the presentation goes well today!
Thanks for the comment at my place!

I agree with you 110% on the Electoral College. If it was for that, we'd have 50 individual Floridas (ca 2000) to deal with.
