So I am bound and determined to finish this book tonight. I have not enjoyed it although there are parts that are compelling. Overall I feel it's just too drawn out and overly detailed. More about the painting, please.
I admire your tenacity. If a book doesn't isn't holding onto my attention, I move on. I realize that may be unfair -- there's always the possibility that the author can pull it out, or had some reason for writing it this way. But my TBR pile is sooo high these days, and that makes it easier for me to give in to the temptation to just move on when that "blah" feeling hits me.
I try to always finish what I start but I sometimes it's just a struggle, part of me wants to say, "Ah, the heck with it!" but then I don't want to feel like I quit on something. UGH! Like the gal herself said, maybe it'll redeem itself!

This is actually one of my favorite books. I can't explain why. Too bad you don't care for it.
