One of the things I love about your blog is that I hear music I haven't heard elsewhere (okay, music I haven't heard on NPR - I have a limited exposure to life and if it's not Met Opera, I probably don't know about it) Anyway, I *loved* this and will search out her movies & videos. Thanks!
This is one of those songs that, the first time I heard it, I knew I'd heard it before (in a good way). It was quite weird, but I absolutely can't sit still through this song. I think it's familiar because it's a part of my soul she's singing.
Good to know I'm not the only one who likes it. ;-)
